INFP – The Idealists

The meaning-seeking and unconventional type. They are especially attuned to making sure their beliefs and actions are congruent. They often develop a passion for the arts or unusal forms of self-expression.

They enjoy work that are aligned to their deeply feelt values and tend to strongly dislike the more practical and mundande forms of tasks. They can enjoy working alone for long periods of time and are happiest when they can immerse themselves in personally meaningful projects.

Okay blogpeeps, do you think that’s accurate? And also: go see what you get over at the Typealyzer.

  1. Well, it pegged my blog at ISTP.
I’m always an INTJ in person – and I do mean always-it never varies!

It seems to have analysed your blog quite well, I think, although I don’t know about mine, as I’m hardly impartial.

  2. I do. It’s apparent in your writing you have an elegant style of self-expression, and place high value on concepts like order, balance and equanimity.

I get INFP when I do these tests almost always, and I have always enjoyed your site and blog.
I once got ENFP, but must’ve been feeling a bit more extroverted and social than usual that time.
The quiet passion, humour and informed enthusiasm you’ve shown to see this site grow over years is great.
Hope someone gets you that book for Thesmophoria, looks like an interesting read.

As another INFP, that’s amusingly accurate – especially the part about not liking mundane practical stuff.

Sometimes i’m ENFP, too … we’re not simple enough to always be squarely pegged in one typology. Those descriptions aren’t comprehensive (re: describing individuals).

Can’t beat introspection, but these Myers-Briggs category-things can aid it.
